Lancaster Airport, with free parking but limited commercial air service, is 21 miles from us. Harrisburg International Airport is 53 miles away with easy access and on-premise parking. Philadelphia International Airport, at 80 miles distance, offers the most connections and airlines, but road traffic can be a bit heavy. Please inquire ahead if you need assistance with luggage.

A guest fridge/freezer, as well as newspaper, magazines, maps, brochures and books, are located in the “drawing room”. Coffee can be ready there, upon request, as early as 7 a.m.
A hot, country breakfast is provided each morning at 8:30 a.m. in the kitchen. Coffee is available as early as 7 a.m. in the guest “drawing room” upon request. If you prefer an earlier or later breakfast, just let us know, and we will provide a complimentary continental “to go” breakfast in the drawing room. Being a “bed and breakfast,” we pride ourselves in providing a high-quality, comfortable bed and a hearty breakfast, featuring some of our own premise-grown fruits, berries and vegetables . . . a hot item/casserole w/garnish is lovingly prepared, as well as homemade bread or pastry and fresh fruit daily.
We do not offer lunch or dinner but can recommend many local fantastic restaurants!
We try our very best to meet each guest’s specific needs and restrictions if advance notice is given!
We place homemade cookies on the coffee table in the “drawing room” daily. In the summer you will find refreshing home-brewed peppermint tea or lemonade in the guest fridge. A hot pot with water for hot tea is also available there.
Besides our delicious hot, country breakfast, we also offer afternoon tea/snacks (usually homemade cookies). Guests love to congregate in the “drawing room” to socialize, read, watch TV or snack! Sheets and towels, shampoo and soap are provided in each room. Post-COVID, we generally do not enter your room unless fresh bedding is requested. Soiled towels can be put into a provided laundry bag and placed outside your room, along with any trash, to be replaced. Our laundry facilities are not available to guests, but we recommend Kohl’s Laundromat at 300 Railroad St, Denver, PA 17517. We have ample free on-site parking and high-speed fiberoptic WI-FI available.
Because of the painstaking colonial-era renovations and nature of this 18th century homestead, we cannot accommodate your pets but recommend a state-of-the-art pet care facility just ten minutes away: Country Pet Hideaway at 748 Vinemont Road, Reinholds PA 17569. Well-behaved children ages five and over are welcome.
Cancellations made prior to one week before arrival are not charged any fees. Because we are holding your room just for you, cancellations within one week of arrival are charged for one night; last-minute cancellations may be charged for the full reservation unless the room can be re-booked. Except for certain circumstances, a two-night minimum stay is required.
We strive to create an environment that is welcoming and accommodating for all individuals, including those with hearing, vision or other disabilities. Please note that our property is not physically ADA Compliant. Due to the fact that our inn has only 4 rooms and is owner occupied, we do not have to comply with ADA’s physical requirements in and on the property. We do, however, offer one first-floor guest room with a back entryway having no steps.
We have four guest rooms, each appointed in different colonial-era colors and furnishings, including one first-floor room. Our steps to the second-floor rooms are wide and deep and have a banister with two landings. We do have a first-floor guest room as well. There is also a guest “drawing room” with a small fridge/freezer, microwave, newspaper, magazines, area brochures, chess/checkers/backgammon and comfortable seating areas. The original summer kitchen with full fireplace is the setting for our scrumptious breakfast service.
